Beginning Pottery Class - Spring session 2

In this 6 week session, beginners will learn the basics of wheel throwing, hand building, and glazing stoneware pottery.  Class will meet once per week and students are encouraged to come in outside of class time after week 2 for additional practice.  By the end of the 6 week period, you should have a basic understanding of the pottery making process and have the ability to make basic bowl and cylinder shapes (cups, vase, etc).  A basic tool kit will be provided and clay/glazes for use on classroom projects will be provided as well.  Students will be provided with one 25 lb bag of clay for use on practice projects outside of classroom time.  If more clay is wanted, it can be purchased at a rate of $36.00 per 25# bag which includes the cost of glazing & firing.
